Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, budgets, preconstruction, and other related areas. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for various construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We currently are active in commercial, community, government, healthcare, renewables, industrial, education and housing markets.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for various construction projects
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates
  • Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and vendors to ensure that they are competitive and meet project requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure that they are available when needed
  • Attend preconstruction meetings and site visits to gather information and identify potential issues
  • Monitor project costs and budgets to ensure that they are on track
  • Prepare change orders and other documentation as needed
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status and cost estimates
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, budgets, preconstruction, or related areas
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret project specifications, drawings, and other documentation
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sage Timberline Estimating
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of construction laws and regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
