Family PastorReports to: Associate Pastor of Life StagesFLSA Status: Exempt | Full-TimeSalary | 48 hours weeklyPosition Purpose The Family Pastor focuses on overseeing Children's and Special Needs Ministries, and is responsible for cultivating spiritual growth and discipleship for the families of Grace Church through these ministries. Main Responsibilities
- Oversee Children's Ministry staff and Special Needs Ministry Director.
- Cultivating a welcoming place for a wide variety of families to thrive and grow.
- Carrying out Grace's mission and vision and cultivating ministries of discipleship of families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead weekly Children's Ministry team meetings.
- Oversee recruiting and discipling of ministry volunteers and oversee staff team as they train and onboard.
- Oversee and enforce ministry policies and procedures.
- Plan and oversee outreach events that work towards discipling children and families.
- Oversee safety & security of ministry.
- Be present during programming on Sundays, Wednesdays, & special events.
- Teach or step into specific roles as needed.
- Coordinate with adult ministries for parenting education and family discipleship.
- Guide vision for print material, web content, etc. for the ministry.
- Research & approve curriculum across the ministry.
- All other relevant family ministry duties as assigned.
Proficiencies Needed
- Gifted in leadership, discipleship, and vision casting.
- Licensure & Ordination in the C&MA, or willing to pursue.
- A love and passion for ministry to children and families.
- Ability to lead & speak in large groups.
- Self learner and driven.
