Locations: Ganado, AZType:TribalSalary Range:Salary NegotiableOpen Period:1/1/2023 until filledSummary:Affordable Health Insurance, 403B Pension Plan, Traditional Healing Reimbursement, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, AD&D, Employee Assistance Program, Employee Recognition Program, PTO & Paid Holiday with (2) Floating Holidays, Wellness Center Membership, Child Care Services, Onsite Housing for eligible positions, and Loan Repayment ProgramMore info about area:Job Announcement Flyer:Duties:• Attend patients in outpatient facilities of the NHF/SMH. • Make every reasonable effort to provide personal continuity of care to his/her patients. • Provide urgent care services when scheduled. • Offer his/her services, based on training, expertise, and interest, to other staff physicians when requested or indicated, serving as a consultant. • Refer patients to other staff physicians, for consultation or transfer, based on training, expertise, interest, and continuity of care. • Call upon available appropriate medical staff consultation capabilities before contacting outside consultations, unless emergency situation precludes the matter. • Strive to meet the institutional goals of compassionate, competent, accessible, and culturally relevant care. • Assume responsibility for individual patient education. • Attend medical staff meetings, morning report, etc. • Accept individual areas of clinical responsibility as recommended by Medical Staff with final approval of Medical Director. • Accept and carry out medical staff committee assignments. • Participate in quality assurance activities of the medical staff. • Participate in the annual medical staff budget process. • Participate in and attend in-service and educational programs seeking to improve and/or learn job related skills. • Meet and comply with standards of NHF/SMH Personnel Manual. • Maintain confidentiality at all times. • Precept medical students and residents. • May act as designated supervising physician or collaborating physician for staff physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical students, or MD residency. • Present continuing medical education programs to medical staff, and to non physician staff. • Perform other duties not detailed in this job description.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school. Residency in Family Practice • Board Certified in Family Medicine. • State of Arizona License in designated area of Medical Subspecialty • Current and Valid DEA License • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification • Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME). • Must be able to successfully pass the Employee Health Program requirements and background investigation.Work Type:Permanent, FullAnnouncement #:MED-23-00002
