Job Description :
Every day is different at the Family Resource Center, depending on the needs of the community we serve. We have a small staff, so youget the full experience of what it is like to work in a small off-site program of a larger agency. You may be assisting in a variety of areas. Ours is often a fast-paced environment, and there are also some slow times which can be used to plan ahead or catch up on emails, etc. There are many opportunities for direct service. Students are asked to work on one ormore of the varying, many are done remotely. Some things we need assistance with may include:
  • Direct service at front desk, basic needs, information and referral
  • Answering phones
  • Receiving and sorting donations
  • Childcare assistance (not available Winter quarter due to pandemic protocols)
  • Resource drives (diaper drive, school supplies, etc.)
  • Community projects
  • Family activities & workshops (arts & crafts, sewing, storytimes, field trips, etc.)
  • Computer tutoring or classes; employment and education coaching and workshops
  • Miscellaneous tasks as needed by employees
