- Disassemble various engine components, sub-assemblies, and engines in the repair and overhaul area.
- This position will start on 1st shift for training. Shift bidding will take place at the end of year. Shift may change due to shift bid process or before to maintain shift coverage.
- Work from Manuals, Service Bulletins and other technical instructions.
- Use various hand tools, precision measuring equipment, special tooling and gauges.
- Coordinate parts, consumables and non-product material movements.
- Function as a disassembler to ensure standard work and best practices are accomplished while assuring daily targets are met.
- The team member must be fully engaged to support all CORE, Quality, EH&S, and overall Operations initiatives and policies to meet company's goals.
- Comply with all company work rules, follow safe work practices and procedures established to protect the environment, and report to supervisor all unsafe acts, hazardous conditions, and conditions which impact or have the potential to impact the environment.
- Responsible for reading, understanding, and complying with RTX's Code of Ethics, including the obligation to report actual and suspected violations of the code.
- Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
- Refer difficulties to supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- 2+ years' work experience in a mechanical field
Prefered Qualifications:
- 2+ years specialized training in maintenance, assembly or test of gas turbine engines or similar aircraft systems.
- Prior experience working on Turbofan engines.
- Knowledge of aircraft engine assembly procedures including fits and tolerances, use of precision measuring instruments and gauges, hand tools, special assembly equipment and the ability to work from complicated drawings and specifications.
