Farm Enrollment Coordinator Location - Thisis a low hybrid role, which means that you will have the flexibility to work bothonsite and at a distance. You will collaborate onsite in La Farge, WI office for 3-5 days per week, and therest of the time you can choose to work remotely or onsite. Summary of Role Organic Valley is committed to reducing its carbon emissions with a public goal to be Carbon Neutral by 2050, from farm to retail dock.The Organic Valley Carbon Insetting Program (OVCIP) is the Cooperative's path to reduce and remove on-farm emissions.Through this program Organic Valley farmer members are incentivized to voluntarily implement new climate smart farming (CSF) practices on their farms. The Farm Enrollment Coordinator will support all phases of farm enrollment into OVCIP, from initial farmer inquiry through annual monitoring and verification.This role will work directly with participating CROPP farmer-members (dairy, egg, and grower) as well as the On-Farm Carbon Reduction and Removal Managers and other sustainability staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support all stages of farm enrollment in OVCIP, including initial farmer inquiry, USDA eligibility, and annual monitoring and verification.
  • Fulfill OVCIP enrollment packet requests.
  • Confirm USDA FSA (Farm Service Agency) eligibility and submit farm enrollment waivers.
  • Coordinate soil sampling for soil carbon practices.
  • Complete, submit and track approval of Environmental Reviews, form CPA-52.
  • Support USDA Climate Smart Commodities grant quarterly reporting regarding enrolled farms
  • Coordinate the intake and review of annual project management reports.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Digitize farm boundaries in ArcMap.
  • Process farmer payments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other sub-departments within the Pools Department.
  • Participate in department and sub-department team meetings.
  • Attend CROPP events, such as the Annual Cooperative Business Meeting and Regional meetings as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree, in sustainability, environmental science, agribusiness or similar desirable but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sustainability, organic certification, program administration, or related field required.
  • Ability to communicate with farmers verbally and written.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Teams and Share Point) and the ability to learn the cooperative's databases for farmer contacts and OVCIP projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Attention to detail a must.
  • Team player with positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
Base hourly wage range: $19.79 - $27.21 per hour This hourly wage rangeis exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also includeincentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. Ifyou are hired at CROPP, your final base hourly wage compensation will be determinedbased on factors such as skills, education, and/orexperience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity andconsider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any finaloffer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role shouldexpect to be at the lower end of the hourly wage range and hiring at the maximum of the hourly wage rangeis not typical.
