Farm Production Crew - Agric Organics : Job Details

Job DescriptionAgric Organics seeks a motivated and energetic professional individual to join our growing community-oriented team as a Farm Production Crew. This position is based out of our farm located in Western Massachusetts.Description:As part of the Farm Production Crew, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to working in the field, harvesting, washing/packing produce, weeding, collecting eggs, and other field tasks. Previous farm experience is preferred. Having strong attention to detail, safe handling of equipment, ability to work independently and on a team, and eagerness to learn are essential to this role. In addition, applicants must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.Average Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week Duties and Responsibilities:Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

• Manage several acres of our farmland and multiple greenhouses
• Oversee livestock
• Perform day-to-day farm activities such as planting, cultivating, post-harvest duties, weeding, pest management, field and bed preparation, and irrigation
• Perform manual labor
• Perform maintenance on the farm and handle machinery
• Devising strategies for harvesting and planting
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment by adhering to safety procedures
• Ensures store personnel adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines to minimize losses.
• Other duties as assigned

RequirementsPhysical Demands:

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds,
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as a slicer, deep fryer, etc.
• Ability to learn new systems, methods, or processes
• Ability to use non-precision and precision hand tools
• Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Ability to provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to evaluate and drive performance of self and others
• Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electronic/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler, and perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional efficient manner, following instructions and giving attention to detail

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 18 years of age is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is required.
• A combination of education and experience provides equivalent knowledge
