Farm Worker Labor - 1st Shift - Tecumseh Peterson Farm - Tyson Foods : Job Details

This position is responsible for all aspects of humanly raising and caring for the Smart Chicken livestock. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: - Read water meters - Pick up daily mortality - Check for proper equipment operations - Ensure birds have water and feed - Ensure all equipment is functional - Prepare houses for new chick arrival & placement of new chicks - Prepare houses for bird load-out and reconditioning - Master and practice essential farm animal husbandry - Outdoor duties include: mowing, and grass trimming, snow removal - Adhere to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulations - Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Previous experience working with livestock preferred but not required.
