  • This is a support position assigned to Institutional Support and reports directly to the Operations and Consultants Manager. The incumbent will be providing administrative and logistical support to the Edible Crops Program, Surplus Property, Recycling and institutions.Checks and balances needed to ensure that the assets of the Department are protected and all legislative requirements are met.
  • The delivery of commodities distributed from statewide farms and institutions to various locations throughout the State through the use of departmental vehicles and/or common carrier. Delivery and/or pick up of items such as equipment and/or emergency supplies, within the State may be necessary, which may require overnight travel.
  • Oversee and maintain the daily operation, where applicable, of the mailroom, institutional canteens, inmate discharge function and cash receipts, payroll distribution, institution resource room and laundry operations. This includes, but is not limited to, the receipt, storage and distribution of commodities from the CDW and vendors; receipt, inspection and distribution of all mail for the institution as outlined by procedure. Performs Purchasing Card processor duties.
  • Responds to inmate requests and grievances as applicable. Oversees monthly free letter request process, and generates and distributes monthly inmate bank statements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
