Ferry Business Director of Support ServicesRecruitment began on December 9, 2024and the job listing expires on January 8, 2025The ChallengeWe are hiring a Ferry Director of Support Services to join our team!In this role, youwill:
  • Manage Ferry's administration of our annual operating budget.
  • Hold delegated authority to ensure compliance in legal, financial, and technical capacities.
  • Manage implementation and adherence to state and federally mandated procedures for all state and federal funds.
  • Act as a key internal resource in our understanding and communication of state and federal authoritative guidance and an intermediary between federal agencies, state agencies, and other regulatory bodies for all business operations completed by the Ferry Division.
  • Serve as a key contributor to Ferry management by providing a strong professional presence, expertise, business sense, strategic vision, and strong desire to help improve our overall internal control environment.
  • Serve as a senior member of our Ferry leadership team and represent Ferry at local, state, and national meetings/forums/conferences with elected and system officials.
  • Oversee our budget funds, Federal grant application processes, contract management, internal/external audits, process improvement, and operational innovations to streamline work/improve efficiency/effectiveness.What You Bring
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret state/federal authoritative guidance and compliance regulations related to transportation.
  • Experience managing projects, programs, staff, and consultants.
  • Experience serving as a technical advisor to internal and external partners.
  • Experience communicating with diverse audiences in verbal and written formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of government budget and business practices, systems, tools, and laws/policies.Education and Experience
  • Master's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related discipline, and
  • 3+ years experience supervising, planning, and managing a business or government program; or
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related discipline, and
  • 5+ years experience supervising, planning, and managing a business or government program; or
