Field Account Manager Position Overview: Drive sales of products and services by pursuing potential customers in the designated area to meet targets for order volume, product mix, and profit margins. Responsibilities:Territory Management:
  • Develop and execute an annual plan to achieve sales goals.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Classify and develop customer relationships based on potential.
  • Optimize travel for cost and time efficiency.
Customer Engagement:
  • Respond to inquiries and identify customer needs for products or services.
  • Direct inquiries and orders to appropriate sales channels.
  • Collaborate with inside sales teams to ensure proper coverage.
Sales Activities:
  • Assemble and lead sales teams for key opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Prepare and present proposals and quotations.
  • Ensure proposals meet customer needs and align with standard procedures.
Knowledge & Reporting:
  • Maintain expertise in products, services, and industry trends.
  • Use CRM for lead management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities.
  • Interface with internal teams to manage delivery and support.
Process Management:
  • Follow a systematic process through the sales cycle.
  • Manage business relationships via customer portals.
Additional Duties:
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 6 years of sales experience, or 3 years of relevant experience plus 3 years of sales experience.
  • Willingness to travel 30-70% domestically.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with customers.
  • Capable of building relationships and consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to secure automobile insurance.
  • Knowledge of sales processes and competitive products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of industry-specific technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience influencing competitive sales situations.
  • Proficiency in selling both standard and custom products.
  • Ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
