Field Account Manager Position Overview: Drive sales of products and services by pursuing potential customers in the designated area to meet targets for order volume, product mix, and profit margins. Responsibilities:Territory Management:
- Develop and execute an annual plan to achieve sales goals.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Classify and develop customer relationships based on potential.
- Optimize travel for cost and time efficiency.
Customer Engagement:
- Respond to inquiries and identify customer needs for products or services.
- Direct inquiries and orders to appropriate sales channels.
- Collaborate with inside sales teams to ensure proper coverage.
Sales Activities:
- Assemble and lead sales teams for key opportunities.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers.
- Prepare and present proposals and quotations.
- Ensure proposals meet customer needs and align with standard procedures.
Knowledge & Reporting:
- Maintain expertise in products, services, and industry trends.
- Use CRM for lead management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor and report on competitor activities.
- Interface with internal teams to manage delivery and support.
Process Management:
- Follow a systematic process through the sales cycle.
- Manage business relationships via customer portals.
Additional Duties:
- Handle special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 6 years of sales experience, or 3 years of relevant experience plus 3 years of sales experience.
- Willingness to travel 30-70% domestically.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with customers.
- Capable of building relationships and consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and ability to secure automobile insurance.
- Knowledge of sales processes and competitive products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
