In the Field Account Manager role, you will be responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in assigned territory, and for developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for the assigned customer base in the Mid-Atlantic region. While this position is remote based you will be responsible to travel to Maryland 3-5 days a week. An essential part of this role is the active use of our CRM system (SFDC) to manage sales activities and customer interactions effectively as this tool is the foundation of our sales framework and operational sales steering, and a key enabler for this role to achieve his/her targets as well as Sartorius targets.

While this position is remote based you will be responsible to travel to M.D. 3-5 days a week. An essential part of this role is the active use of our CRM system (SFDC) to manage sales activities and customer interactions effectively as this tool is the foundation of our sales framework and operational sales steering, and a key enabler for this role to achieve his/her targets as well as Sartorius targets.

This role will cover the Mid-Atlantic territory: NJ, Eastern PA, and Maryland

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • You will promote the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • In this role, you will identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy.
  • This position requires approximately 60% travel throughout your assigned territory in the mid-Atlantic.Additionally, you will be expected on occasion to travel to sales meetings.
  • You will actively use SFDC to manage and document leads and opportunities, all customer interactions and sales activities ensuring that all customer and opportunity information is up-to-date and accurately entered in the CRM system.
  • You will analyze SFDC data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate customer insights and track sales performance.
  • In your support you will partner closely with Applications services and sales support.
  • One of your tasks will be to actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity.
  • You will assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries and suggest products and services as appropriate.
  • Your duties will include developing and implementing account plans and request and coordinate resources in line with the account plans.
  • You will work closely with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
  • You will coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory.
  • You will frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business.
  • On an as needed basis, you will manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership.

What will convince us:

  • You have completed a Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Engineering a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years sales experience, with preferable laboratory and/or process-based experience in Life Science
  • You possess 1+ year(s) hands-on experience with CRM tools
  • You have the ability to travel up to 60%

Compensation for this position will be a base salary between $80,000 and

$115,000.00 depending upon experience, location, and qualifications, plus bonus and car allowance
