Job Description:
The Field Construction Coordinator will be responsible for developing comprehensive Construction Work Packages (CWPs) and ensuring the seamless coordination of construction activities in the field. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of construction processes and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Construction Work Packages (CWPs):- Create detailed CWPs that include scope of work, schedules, materials, resources, safety plans, and quality control measures.
- Ensure CWPs comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
Field Coordination:- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for CWPs.
- Communicate effectively with field personnel to ensure understanding and proper execution of CWPs.
- Monitor and report on the progress of field activities to ensure adherence to CWPs.
Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to project management and clients.
Safety and Compliance:- Ensure all field activities comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in CWPs and field operations.
Quality Control:- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure work meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of fieldwork to ensure compliance with CWPs and quality standards.
Resource Management:- Coordinate the allocation of materials, equipment, and labor to ensure efficient project execution.
- Manage changes to CWPs and field operations as needed to accommodate project adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction coordination or a similar role.
- Proven experience in developing and managing Construction Work Packages.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (CCM).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
