From express and commuter trains to locomotives, freight cars, monorails, and new transit systems, they are engaged in a broad range of business. Within these product areas, the company performs development, design, and manufacturing of high-speed trains, and leveraging advance technologies such as aerodynamics expertise of its aerospace division.They are looking for a field engineer who performs various sequences of complex troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment, electrical/electronic or mechanical systems such as (ATC-automatic train control, ACSES-advanced civil speed enforcement system, braking system). The candidate will apply complex and unique techniques and procedures to analyze, troubleshoot, build up, maintain, and repair complex rail car equipment.You will also analyze failures to reduce rail car down time, performing root cause analysis, and identifying engineering solutions for rail car up time. The travel for this role is in the New York City area only. This is typically a day shift role but sometimes longer days are required depending on the workload.Base salary, plus an end of year bonus, merit awards, a 401k, vacation and full benefits.
