Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Field Engineer to support our Semiconductor Sector in Albany, NY. The Field Engineer will report directly to the area Project Manager and Superintendent in support of large complex tool install projects within a fast-paced high-tech microelectronics environment. Successful candidates will have experience working in construction within the Semiconductor, Microelectronics and/or Photovoltaic industries.

This is not a remote position and will require the selected individual to be onsite and live within a commutable distance to the Albany, NY office. Relocation assistance is available for selected candidates.

Role accountabilities:

* Primary field point of contact for trade contractors on any tool specific construction issues, in support of area Project Manager and Superintendent.

* Accountable for driving the trade contractors to meeting the contracted milestone dates.

* Report project activity proactively identify/remove and log constraints in a timely manner.

* Review of design packages and possess the ability to identify possible issues and ensure design is constructible.

* Be familiar with the 3D BIM models including routing clash detection and compliance.

* Work with Safety Officers and Contractors to ensure solutions are in place on high risk tasks.

* Coordination of individual and interrelated trade contractor work.

* Coordinate move in / move out of tools and pedestals.

* Ensure that construction quality meets specifications.

* Review issues to drive continuous improvement.

* Work in accordance with client agreed documentation control systems.

* Candidate will have a proven track record of managing tasks and the resources associated with contract deliverables.

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

* Familiarity of industrial construction and coordination with trade partners in the field.

* Knowledge of MEP systems used in high volume manufacturing facilities preferred.

* Minimum 2 years of experience in an advanced technology construction environment preferred. Recent graduates with relevant internship experience will also be considered.

* Diploma or Degree level qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.

* Candidates from a trades background (Electrical/Mechanical) with substantial experience in microelectronics/semiconductor projects will be considered in lieu of education requirements.

* Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
