Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Field Engineer to join the Field Operations team. This role is crucial in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The Field Engineer will engage in hands-on field work and provide technical expertise to ensure the success of projects. This involves collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel, as well as maintaining quality control, managing resources, and ensuring adherence to schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily project coordination and planning with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent.
- Provide technical assistance to field operations, addressing design and construction challenges.
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct field surveys and collect necessary data to assist in project design.
- Implement and uphold quality control and safety standards throughout all construction phases.
- Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with project standards, building codes, and specifications.
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, and workmanship to confirm they meet project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction or field engineering, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and best practices within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with project scheduling and management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work on-site, with the potential for extended hours or weekend shifts as needed.
