Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.OBJECTIVE: While working under close supervision of experienced Field Installation Representatives, assists in the removal, modification, rework, and installation of package controls and package system upgrades to industrial gas turbine packages according to customer specifications and schedule requirements. Conform to all EHSS (Environmental Health, Safety & Security) quality, electrical, and Solar standards during performance of duties.NATURE AND SCOPE:Work as a member of a field installation team supporting activities guided by experienced technicians, utilizing available documented instructions including engineering drawings and schematics. Demonstrate the ability to safely use power equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment. Demonstrate/develop the ability to perform conduit and cable tray installation, tube bending and installation, and sub-assembly techniques in performance of duties. International and domestic travel is required (>75%), including remote and offshore locations).PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Assist in the removal of obsolete control console, inter-connect wiring, package system components, and conduit/cable tray & tubing that will be deleted, replaced, or upgraded per the project specifications- Assist in the installation of new control console and other related package components. Add, replace, or modify any conduit/cable tray or tubing as necessary to accommodate new controls, components, or package systems per project ACS- Assist in rewiring the package junction box(s), new components, and package inter-connect wiring as specified in project documents/drawings- Prepare the project site for demobilization (5s activities, FIRM/Workshop inventory & shipment readiness), Capture as-installed photos, log feedback report details, and assist the Lead FIR in final activities- Assist in building pre-engineered kits and component sub-assemblies to support PRU Value Streams.- Assist in maintenance and replenishment of parts/tool modules to support PSU Value Stream.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have great team-working skills and be willing to learn & work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment (field and factory). A minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in turbo-machinery systems or equivalent is required. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of factory and field EHSS (Environmental Health, Safety & Security) policies. Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card, successfully complete and pass OEUK (offshore medical exam), background check, drug screen, and offshore survival training (BOSIET - Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training).Minimum Qualifications:•High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.•Thorough knowledge in the safe operation of all related tooling and equipment (power equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment)•Ability to travel 75% of the time (international and domestic, including remote and offshore locations).•Clean Driving Record (this includes no moving violations within the last 12 months, no 2 point violations within the last 3 years, and no DUI's within the last 7 years.•Successfully complete physical exam and obtain offshore certification (OEUK or equivalent) by Solar-approved physician•Successfully complete offshore survival training (BOSIET - Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and obtain certification.•Possess or be able to obtain a valid US Passport and legal TWIC card (Transportation Worker's Identification Credential).•Be able to pass initial drug and alcohol testing required for DOT and DISA compliance.Preferred Qualifications:•Experience following documented instructions including engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.•Experience using associated applications such as Windchill, Citrix, Microsoft O365 apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), FieldMobile•Previous travel or field experience.This employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer, such as H, L, TN, F, J, E, O.Summary Pay Range:$56,618.00 - $84,928.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
