Field Marketing Specialist - SaltwaterLocation (Remote): Alabama, Florida, South Carolina or North CarolinaResponsible for recommending, developing and executing strategies that will maximize brand and product communication at retail and at key events via merchandising, promotion, and other tools. Responsible for management of key regional events, and consumer shows. Proposes strategy for GR and events based on consumer and customer insights plus in-depth understanding of business needs. Customize promotions and merchandising activity for strategic accounts. Develop and execute national promotion plan. Evaluate and benchmark our promotions versus competition based on judgement, field and customer feedback. Work in tandem with Territory managers to inform of opportunities and follow through.What you will do:
- Implement and manage marketing campaigns, events, and promotions tailored to specific regional markets. Ensure alignment with overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute local events, trade shows, and promotional activities. Handle logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site management to ensure successful execution.
- Interact with customers directly to build relationships, gather feedback, and drive engagement. Represent the brand professionally and effectively in all interactions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide marketing support, including lead generation activities, promotional materials, and local market insights.
- Conduct market research to identify local trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences. Utilize insights to adapt marketing strategies and tactics.
- Develop and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, tailored to local markets. Ensure consistency with brand messaging and design guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of field marketing activities. Provide regular reports and recommendations to improve performance and ROI.
- Manage and track the budget for field marketing activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Work closely with the central marketing team, sales, and other departments to align field marketing efforts with broader company goals and strategies.
- Fish with customers and consumers to show features and benefits of products to inform purchases and provide a positive and memorable experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Technical skills with laptop computer and databases including Word, Excel & Power Point
- Clean driving record and the Ability to safely drive a full size truck and trailer as needed
- Persuasive selling skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with customer counterparts, orally and written
- Willingness to travel up to five days a week
- College BS or BA degrees or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field
- Thorough understanding of category management selling concepts and tools
