Job Purpose
The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for the supervision of Field Managers and the processes involved in all these functions. These duties include but are not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
General:
Maintains complete and open lines of communication between the warehouse, corporate office, and sales to facilitate exceptional customer service and cost control.
P&L management and responsibility
Provides servant leadership for scheduling of personnel and directing of day-to-day activities.
Coordinates all day-to-day warehouse activities including stocking, receiving, and inventory control functions to ensure alignment of duties for the entire distribution center.
Supervises and monitors work assignments, workflow, performance and work standards, accuracy, and productivity.
Administrative duties include recruiting, testing, new hire orientation, payroll record keeping and reporting, employee appraisals and reviews, progressive discipline issues (counseling, oral and written warnings), and employee terminations.
Supervises and oversees maintenance of warehouse equipment and repairs. Ensures that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform distribution functions efficiently.
Responsible for facility security and loss prevention.
Supervises and oversees order procedures and services to improve fill rate and order turnaround time. Continuous development and maintenance of improved processes.
Strive to develop and maintain customer rapport and satisfaction, learn, and apply new product knowledge to enhance warehouse personnel.
Will work closely with internal and external departments regarding product identification, information, and other trends on a weekly basis, interact with other departments (marketing, purchasing, credit, quality assurance) and national distribution centers to resolve customer service issues.
Works to improve processes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3-5 years supervisory experience required; college degree preferred.
P&L responsibility and management experience• Hands-on experience in all phases of warehouse operations to include shipping and order filling functions required.
Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
Ability to lift 60+ pound weights.
Able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Lean/5S experience in a manufacturing/distribution setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Proven ability to lead, empower and develop personnel.
Customer focused (internal and external)

Heavy Lifting Working Overhead Long Periods of Standing
Long Periods of working outdoors and on active construction sites
The applicant will be working closely with Superintendents; therefore, they will need to be friendly and communicative.
The applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule and adjust easy to change. This is a fast-moving job that requires quick thinking and accuracy in quality of work.
