POSITION SUMMARY: Armstrong Ambulance Service (AAS) Supervisors are responsible for the supervision of employees in their assigned division.. Supervisors must ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed and adhered to at all time by all employees while on duty. This person may be assigned to an ambulance or a liaison at a facility. Supervisors may be required to work as a member of a crew with an employee who requires assistance or improvement in a particular area and/or serve as a preceptor or partner. Field Operations Supervisors will be able to work a regular shift as a shift commander / field supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Employee Responsibility:
    • Inspect Employees for adherence to AAS Dress Code.
    • Record and report attendance and tardiness issues to Field Operations Manager
    • Ensure strict adherence to all AAS policies
  • Vehicle Responsibility:
    • Direct employees to properly clean and maintain the vehicles
    • Ensure Check off list completed and issues reported to the Field Operations Manager and Fleet Maintenance.
    • Report any dents, missing equipment, etc.
    • Complete Fleet maintenance form if needed
  • Base Responsibility: Ensure Base facilities are stocked and in proper working order:
    • Maintain inventory:
  • Medical supplies
  • Paperwork
  • Linens
  • Oxygen (D & M size tanks)
  • Cleaning supplies
    • Ensure:
  • Clean working conditions, free from hazards
  • Safety equipment is in working condition
  • Oxygen chained and secured
    • Report deficiencies to Operations Manager
  • Report deviations from company standards to the Operations Manager on duty.
  • Participate in OEMS inspections, ensuring base and vehicle readiness
  • Supervisors will serve as liaison between employees and management, bringing to management their concerns regarding morale, policies, and to foster an atmosphere of goodwill.
  • Supervisors may also serve as Facility Liaisons (see separate job description for full listing of duties).

  • Completes all reports legibly, accurately, and on a timely basis.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all customer and Armstrong information.
  • PATIENT PRIVACY:All Employees of Armstrong Ambulance are required to read and sign a 'Confidentiality Agreement' which includes the following expectations of employees:
    • Employees are expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and practices, as required by Law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider.
    • Employees may access protected health information and other patient information only to the extent that it is necessary to complete job duties and may only share such information with those who have a need to know specific patient information to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment, or other company operations.
    • Employees are encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the company's policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of that policy to the designated management personnel.

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    Certificates, Licenses:
    • Paramedic (ACLS, PALS, IFT certification must remain compliant)
    • Valid motor vehicle operator license with satisfactory driving history
