Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct site safety, health, and environment quality audits
  • Inspect site activities for safety compliance
  • Manage on-site corrective actions
  • Share findings with supervision for follow-up
  • Intervene at-risk activities
  • Provide on-site review and training if needed
  • Provide consultation as needed
  • Assist with incident reporting and root cause initiatives (injury/illness, property damage, etc.)
  • Assist with the reporting process
  • Collect and verify incident reports
  • Assist with the IA process and report
  • Participate in industry conferences, programs, initiatives, etc.
  • Provide safety training on company procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Actively participate in self-development and growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental safety, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in construction safety or related field
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and construction site safety procedure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks
  • Pro-active with ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work efficiently with a diverse team
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA 30 Construction, CSP, CHST) is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software
