This company develops and sells instruments, consumables, and services for liquid-, sample-, and cell handling in laboratories worldwide. Their product range includes pipettes and automated pipetting systems, dispensers, centrifuges, mixers, spectrometers, and DNA amplification equipment as well as ultra-low temperature freezers, fermenters, bioreactors, CO2 incubators, shakers, and cell manipulation systems.You will lead this company in front of their many customers ensuring that all equipment is properly installed and maintained to the highest degree.Essential duties and responsibilities:- Perform service efficiently and effectively on instruments and equipment as requested or initiated, this includes but is not limited to installation, operator training, preventive maintenance, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, adjustments, calibrations, alignments, and part replacement- Adhere to service manuals, technical procedures and direction while properly documenting and managing work activity, billing and quality documents in-house, on site at customer facilities or over the phone as required- Be responsible for the sale of the company's service products to meet stated revenue and costs objectives to meet personal, department, and corporate metric/goals, activities include, define customer needs, understanding service products, quoting and selling activities- Participate in generating cross selling leads to sales colleagues to promote sales growth- Be responsible for corporate assets including company vehicle, inventory, company tools, equipment, and all other assigned assets- Establish and maintain a high degree of technical knowledge pertaining to service activities described- Satisfactorily complete service training curriculum on an ongoing basis- Create a high level of customer satisfaction through exhibiting both excellent technical and customer skills- Demonstrate a positive can-do professional image and attitude in front of customers and colleagues always- Communicate status and expectations in both written and verbal formats in clear, complete, concise manner at frequent or as requested intervals- Exhibit excellent proactive pre- call planning and follow up skills- Routinely go on extensive or overnight travel on short notice within or sometimes beyond defined territory or routine business hours to support customer or service needs - Promote the sale the company's service products to meet budgeted and associated service and sales goals- Be responsible for inventory management of spare parts- Maintain and re-order suitable inventory and comply with all the company's inventory control policies, procedures, rules and regulations- Be responsible for proper care of company tools, equipment and all other assigned assets- Adhere to universal safety precautions as required by company and all other requirements mandated by clientele- Responsible to follow all required elements of the Quality Management System and all other company policies and procedures$30 - $36/hour base, overtime up to $10K in annual bonus, 5% annual PSP, Sales Lead bonuses, company vehicle (personal use included), expense card, cell phone, laptop.
