Brown Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Field Service Representative to support the Integrated Fires Rapid Capabilities Office (IFRCO) Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Logistics Division. The Field Service Representative (FSR) and Training Support Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the effective deployment, operation, and maintenance of the Army's new M-LIDS (Mobile Low, Slow Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defense System) Counter-Unmanned Aerial System. This position involves providing technical expertise, training, and support to military personnel and contractors involved in operating and maintaining the M-LIDS system. The primary reporting location will be Huntsville, AL with required travel within the United States up to 30% of the time. Responsibilities include: The following activities are included in this effort:
  • Provides crucial on-site technical assistance to military units during system deployment. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing system issues, and promptly resolving technical problems. Additionally, the FSR collaborates closely with other FSRs and system engineers to address complex challenges.
  • Conducts comprehensive training sessions for military personnel, contractors, and operators. These sessions cover essential aspects of M-LIDS system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The FSR ensures a thorough understanding of system components, software interfaces, and operational procedures, facilitating knowledge transfer to enhance self-sufficiency within military units.
  • Diligently maintains accurate records related to system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Additionally, the FSR generates detailed reports on system performance, identifies issues, and recommends improvements. Furthermore, the FSR actively contributes to updating technical manuals and documentation as needed.
  • Collaborates closely with other FSRs, logistics personnel, and system engineers to coordinate support efforts. Additionally, the FSR serves as a liaison with the M-LIDS program management office, ensuring effective communication and relaying valuable feedback from the field.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • S. Citizen
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Technical background in electronics, communications, or related fields.
  • 5+ years' experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or similar technologies preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with a strong degree of interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various deployment sites as needed.
  • Must have a current driver's license.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience operating within an infantry brigade combat team (IBCT) and below level in support of large-scale ground combat operations (LSGCO)
  • Knowledgeable of Army Air Defense Doctrine and TTPs
