Field Service TA - The Babcock & Wilcox Company : Job Details

Perform a variety of complex technical field assignments involving the installation, inspection, modification, testing or troubleshooting of air pollution control products and equipment such as wet & dry ESP's, fabric filters, scrubbers, etc. Provide assistance to customers in choosing appropriate B&W products for performance improvement when applicable.

* Perform field service operations that may involve testing and verification of equipment and unusual problems requiring strong technical skills.

* Ability to write detailed reports of problems encountered, tests performed and work completed.

* Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts.

* Support Sales efforts, including assisting in presentations when needed. Spanish language proficiency a plus.

* Often work non-standard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.

* Ability to work independently to accomplish task and effectively manage time to coordinate multiple jobs.

* Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems.

* Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and able to cope with delays or unexpected events.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or 4 to 6 years of experience in an industrial setting.

* Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
