As Lead Field Service Engineer you will provide technical support for installation and commissioning of projects and provides maintenance, breakdown emergency support and remote troubleshooting.Troubleshoot at site locations to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implement corrective actionsDevelop requisite documentation to execute work (commissioning procedures, maintenance procedures daily logs etc.)Perform installation and commissioning activities at customer site locationsExecute on site project management and technical leader duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfactionPerform a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of drive systemsDevelop presentations and provide training and instruction to customers on drive operationsCoordinate additional opportunities to serve the customer with the customer service team, parts, repair services, sales, and product engineering teamsAdvise the customer of recommended upgrades, parts, and service opportunities to improve customer productivity and sell company parts and servicesCoordinate maintenance activities for the customer and planning for inspectionsSupport engineering teams working on customer CMU's projectsProvide support the bidding process for the customer CMU's projectsPromote sales of maintenance servicesProvide on call support in response to customer calls for serviceComplete timely service reports and other administrative requirementsLead Field Service Engineer QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 additional years of related industry experience)3 years of experience with Drive systems (VFD)2 years practicable working knowledge of at least one Power Conversion drive system2 years practicable working knowledge of at least one Power Conversion drive / system controller5 years of field service and/or commissioning experienceAble to execute increasingly complicated assignments, which require considerable engineering skill and creative ability and independent judgmentPossess detailed knowledge, competence and expertise with installation and commissioning tasks and services.
