Job Description :

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responds to customer requests and field dispatches.

  • Meets with customers at the site to discuss the service or repair nature.

  • Provides advanced technical support and performs advanced troubleshooting for the compressor package.

  • Provides advanced technical support and performs advanced troubleshooting on electrical and control systems.

  • Performs retrofitting of industrial control panels across multiple manufacturers.

  • Completes routine maintenance or repair in accordance with ANSI/IIAR-6 2019.

  • Inspects machinery to confirm proper working order.

  • Provides preventative measure suggestions.

  • Discusses work completed with the customer.

  • Submits all time sheets, expense reports (within 30 days), service tickets, start-up reports, inspection reports, and other required paperwork within the required timeframe.

  • Performs after-hours telephone troubleshooting support.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to problem-solve.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Must be a self-starter & driven.

  • Advanced knowledge of screw and piston-type compressors and their packages.

  • Advanced working knowledge of industrial control panels.

  • Knowledge of ANSI/IIAR-6 2019 and capable of adhering to its standards.

  • Ability to travel 90% of the time.

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, walk, and maneuver in small spaces for extended periods.

  • Must be able to lift/carry 75lbs frequently.

  • Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computers, tools, and machinery.

  • Ability to work extended hours on occasion, including weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to work in manufacturing areas that may be noisy, dusty, hot, cold, greasy, and/or wet.

  • Ability to travel and work according to a changing schedule.

  • Capable of reading P&IDs and electrical schematics.

  • Thorough knowledge of the refrigeration cycle.

  • Knowledge of the major components pertaining to a refrigeration system.

  • Advanced working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control schemes.

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.

  • Technical school certification in refrigeration or similar field; preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • RETA CARO Certification; preferred.

  • EPA 608 universal certification; preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
