Position Details: Title: Field Service Technician Location: San Antonio, TX Shift: Monday - Friday - 6:00am - 4:30 - 6:00pm (depending on shop needs) Saturday 6:00am - 2:30pm Compensation: $25 - $30/hour (depending on experience) + overtime Benefits: Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Life and Disability Insurance, as well as generous PTO and paid holidays. Travel: 150-mile radius of office in San Antonio. Company Vehicle and gas card will be provided. Position Description - Field Service Technician The Field Service Technician will maintain motors and generators while preventing downtime and motor or generator failure during field visits or dispatches to customer sites. will manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. You will also diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include: --- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints for installation or rebuild project and confer with customers to determine training and quality standards. --- Advise customer maintenance crew in resolving issues, including installation, rebuilds and troubleshooting. --- Recommend modifications of existing systems to achieve optimum quality and improve system applications. --- Visit's customer sites and carry out sales or service calls. --- Verify that work done by customer maintenance crews are conducted in a safe manner. --- Act as back up for customer service and assembly departments when in-house. Requirements: The ideal candidate possesses advanced electro-mechanical aptitude with at least 2 years' experience working with AC&DC Motors and Generators, Laser alignment, field balancing rotating members, vibration analysis and condition monitoring, offline Baker motor circuit testing, Additional Qualifications Include: --- Knowledge of machinery and equipment as it relates to ESP systems. --- Clean driving record. --- Ability to work on remote locations without immediate supervision. --- Understand pump curves and be capable of accurate calculations. --- Excellent knowledge of HSE policies and guidelines. --- Experience with horizontal pump preferred. --- Formal training on basic HPS. --- Electrical experience required. --- Annual CPR / AED and Electrical Safety Training.
