About the role

FST will be responsible for developing and maintaining good customer relations in assigned territory, in addition to technical assistance and general customer information. FST will be required to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair EV charging equipment. At times FST will be required to interact with challenging customers and communicate effectively.

Job Location: NY at or near Brooklyn/Manhattan/Queens

  • Execute all field service activities (e.g. install, test, commission, diagnose, repair, support, etc.) on Tritium Power Solutions systems according to Tritium Power Solutions Policies and Procedures
  • Partner with clients/suppliers in a professional and courteous manner with a view to improve Tritium Power Solutions reputation within the industry and increase business opportunities.
  • Work with subcontractors on site and remotely, by guiding and monitoring them throughout their interventions on Tritium products, representing Tritium in alignment with our company values.
  • Comply with all necessary safety procedures, as reflected in Tritium Power Solutions Policies and Procedures
  • Attend product training courses (in the USA and abroad) and work towards completion of Tritium Power Solutions Professional Certificate in order to build competence in providing technical assistance and support to our customers.
  • Escalate as appropriate, situations where customer satisfaction is compromised and to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Maintain all test equipment, tools and company property in good and working order
  • Identify any opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of company processes.
  • Generate and submit timely high-quality reports and other technical documentation outputs from your work, on the field and outside the field.
  • Perform integration, validation, and verification testing, by collaborating with internal teams and vendors to integrate, debug, fix and improve products, documenting development phases and monitor systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in IT or Electronics
  • Electrical certificate / license
  • OSHA-10 General Industry and NFPA Electrical Safety Certification trainings
  • Knowledge of basic IT/networking, PCBs/ESD sensitive equipment and use of Windows OS.
  • Capable in Diagnosing Mechanical & Electrical faults
  • Initiative, resourcefulness, a mature and positive attitude to work
  • Good communication skills within the team and customer environment including being presentable, polite, and courteous, addressing customers in a professional and friendly manner and with empathy
  • High level understanding of safety regulations and requirements and health & safety standards
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills, especially while on site.
  • Excellent local and remote diagnosing, problem definition, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal, using local and remote desktop applications and help desk software as needed.
  • Flexibility for traveling up to 50% within North America as required to provide on-site installation coordination, test & commissioning's and technical support.
  • Valid drivers license

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with LV mains to 480VAC and DC systems up to 1000V
  • Understanding of OCPP protocol, programming, integration and debugging
  • Hands-on experience with Linux environments
  • Experience with EV charging industry
