FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Synerfac : Job Details

Work for an oven and bakery equipment manufacturer in the Boston area.Field Service Technician:Duties:- Safety procedures such as OSHA policy- Industrial and standard hand tool knowledge- Use of an electric meter, gas meter and exhaust flow meters- Able to lift 50lbs/23kb- Bake test on newly installed equipment and report results- Reports to Head of Technicians- Field service on site, office workplace, mobile phone, laptop, company-specific specialized tools, personal tools, fork lift operations and safety- Able to travel for extended time, sometimes outside the USA- Able to report site conditions and fill out paperwork regarding start up reports and document the service call for billing- Follow up with a detailed report on all installations and also follow up with the customer 30 and 90 days after installationJob RequirementsRequirements:- Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm- Able to read technical documentations such as schematics, spec sheets, company standards, drawings and site plans- Up to one year in relative computer experience. Basic programming knowledge, word, excel, outlook and fork lift operation- Minimum 2 years of experience as a service technician or maintenance technician for food equipment preferred in a bakery, food processing or cooling and refrigeration for supermarkets, groceries and food service chains.- experienced in building and repair of industrial machines - experienced in the maintenance of industrial machines- knowledge of food processing and/or baking in supermarkets, groceries and food service chains- Implementing processes for installation, service and startup process finished with the handover to the customer- ERP system/SAP experience preferred- Good communicational and managing skills while cooperating with customers, service partners and colleagues. - Excellent people skills with the customers and trade people. - Willingness for longer service trips is mandatory. - Highly loyal to customers and employer.
