Our client is a Fortune 1000 company and a global supplier of precision instruments, with sales and service locations in 37 countries. They are looking for Field Service Technicians across the United States. The Product Inspection Field Service Technician (FST) are required to provide World Class support to their customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training on company detection systems, x-ray, metal detectors, or Hi-Speed Checkweighers. PI FSEs are responsible for managing all aspects of field service support including the following: - Communications between customers and the service department- Effective scheduling, detailed preparation of written reports and documentation- Maintenance of job assignments, while always keeping in mind to follow MT PI procedures and best practices. Essential duties and responsibilities:- Satisfy all safety requirements for both company and customer sites - Attend daily tier calls led by a Regional Service Manager - Efficiently execute scheduled service calls as directed from Dispatch or Management while considering cost, time, and customer needs/expectations - Develop and maintain good customer relationships, become the customer's trusted advisor - Identify root cause of service issues (first time fix) - Accurately complete and submit all service reports and documentation per service activity, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely manner - Keep up with ongoing technical training- Weekend/afterhours work as required based on workload and rotation - Overnight travel as required - Travel 100% (Monday-Friday weekly, home on weekends)Required skills:- Ability to use all types of hand tools and digital test equipment - Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and distribution systems - Working mechanical knowledge of conveyor systems - Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical distribution systems - Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and the ability to read blueprints and schematics $27 - $32/hour plus overtime and 15-20% bonus. Opportunity to earn commission on service sales. Company vehicle personal use as well. Per diem $55 daily, and tools needed. 401k and benefits.
