Job DescriptionPRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.
- Remove and re-installation of mobile rig components.
- Repair of mobile rig components.
- Use hand tools and be able to correctly setup and operate applicable shop machines.
- Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
- Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Operate lifting equipment/machinery relevant to movement of materials within Service process.
- Assure that results of work meet company quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Utilize safe work habits.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years experience in field service required.
- Pneumatic/ electrical/ hydraulic repair and troubleshooting experience required.
- Heavy equipment assembly experience, preferred.
- Stick/Mig welding operations.
- Oxy/acetylene cutting knowledge basic preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record.
- Must obtain NOV approved driver status and maintain active status.
- Overtime will be required - must be willing & able to work nights, weekend, and on-call 24/7.
- Travel to customers locations will be required at times.
- Work at any time - even during adverse weather conditions such as heat & cold outdoors.
- Must be able to kneel & crawl into tight areas as needed.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 120' feet as required.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
- Must possess basic computer skills - email, filing of field reports, expenses.
- Strong communication skills with Supervisor and other team members.
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.
- Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
