ChampionX has an immediate need for a Field Service Technician (FST) located in Luling, TX. The Field Service Technician plays a pivotal role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pump systems tailored to the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.

What You Will Do:

* Perform installation, maintenance and repairs of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment.

* Perform service calls including but not limited to diagnosing, recommending, and implementing appropriate solutions for surface problems. Problems may include electrical issues, gas-locking pumps, and insufficient fluid production.

* Perform work and repairs in a shop environment as needed or when field work is not required. Shop work may include pump repairs, cable work, cleaning and organizing shop and inventory, etc.

* Timely complete all required documentation of service tasks, utilized parts, and other pertinent data.

* Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager regarding service status, obstacles, and client feedback.

* Safely operate motor vehicles to and from work sites, load and unload tools and equipment with or without assistance.

* Adjust quickly to changing job assignments/requirements and the flexibility to work overtime with little or no advance notice.

* Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

* Complete daily timesheet of hours worked.

* Collaborate frequently with internal and external customers.

* Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and standards relevant to the oil and gas sector, maintaining a safe environment at all client sites.

* Manage and maintain all tools, equipment and vehicles, ensuring regular checks and maintenance are done timely and properly.

* Regularly travel to remote locations to perform duties. Participate with on-call rotation for the facility, as required by the business. May require overnight travel to other locations outside of base location for business support.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

* Valid driver's license in state of residence

* Acceptable driving record through Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

* Drug and alcohol test

* Criminal background check

Minimum Qualifications:

* 1 year industry or related field experience

* Downhole ESP experience

* Regularly and predictably attend work and work in excess of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, as required to meet business needs.

* Must be able to operate independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

* Must be able to communicate effectively, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

* Basic understanding of safety regulations and protocols in the oil and gas industry.

* Read, write, and speak English.

* Possess basic math skills

* Use a computer to communicate, create, and access data.

* Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.

* The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, use arms, hands and fingers to handle, feel and reach, regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist, push and pull.

* Must be able walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.

* Employee must wear required personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, eye and hearing protection and respirators.

Work Environment:

* Work is normally performed at customer field locations in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.

* Some work is accomplished indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.

* Work may include visits to customer offices.
