Advantage Tech is searching for a Field Services Technician to join their client's team in Kansas City, MO. Requirements The Field Services Technician role is an integral role on the client's team serving as a front-line resource and expert for our clients via email, phone, and on-site support. This role will assist with designing, implementing, and supporting various client environments (physical and cloud-hosted) both on-site and remotely. Core Responsibilities & Areas of Focus (3-5+ years of experience) - Provide customer-centric support via phone, email, and on-site support - Provide on-site support for equipment delivery, setup, and troubleshooting - Perform planning and design work for network infrastructure implementations - Provide advice on hardware and software requirements and specifications - Implement and support various physical network components such as: - Servers, firewalls, PCs, laptops, switches, access points, and more - Lead or support cloud-based (e.g Azure) deployments and maintenance - Office365 application issue troubleshooting, assistance, and resolution - Desktop/Laptop issue troubleshooting, assistance, and resolution - Network issue troubleshooting, assistance, and resolution - Detailed documentation of issue investigation and resolution - Contribute to internal documentation and process improvements - Provide remote and help desk based support as needed - Proficient at designing, building, migrating and maintaining:
- Microsoft Azure
- Business networks and systems, including hardware
- Window Servers
- Active Directory
- DNS
Secure/redundant infrastructures
- Microsoft Exchange and email security/filtering solutions
Other technical details or requirements may include, but not limited to:
- Configure & manage servers leveraging PowerShell expertise
- Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade various VMware technologies
- Administer and configure NAS and SAN technologies from various vendors
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot all network equipment, routers, firewall, switches, wireless access points, and SSL-VPN setups from various vendors
- Implement and support disaster recovery and backup solutions
- Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature.
- Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades.
