This is a great opportunity to work for a proven BMI client and for a company that most every automobile and production manufacturer uses. This is a perfect role for someone who has an electronics background and enjoys not having the same day every day.This client forever changed the induction industry by introducing the first solid state power supply. They are headquartered in Wisconsin and manufacture capital equipment for a broad range of applications involving induction heating and melting. Their markets include automotive, foundry, forging, heat-treating, medical and heavy equipment industries. Every major automobile manufacturer, both domestic and international uses their equipment daily in the production of their products.They are seeking a Field Service Technician with an electronics or electrical military background. In this role, you will be the front-line customer contact. You will provide customers with technical guidance, remedies and solutions to operational needs, service revealed difficulties, administration of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, support commissioning activities and provide on-site diagnostics and OJT as required.You must have the ability to use and understand oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, various hand tools, and most importantly have an electronics background (they have hired many from BMI with an electronics background).There is a lot of travel. Up to 90%, but probably a little less. This position is a road warrior role. Typically, you will travel from Monday until Friday. However, some weeks you will only travel one or two days. During your days at home, you may work with customers over the phone and serve as tech support, catch up on paperwork, or attend training.You can live anywhere as long as you have access to a major airport.For those who enjoy variety and the chance to see their hard work come to life, this position offers both autonomy and teamwork, as you will have the independence to manage installations while also collaborating with contractors on larger-scale projects. With each installation, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you are providing critical solutions, all while utilizing your mechanical skills and expertise to make a tangible impact.Base salary, $75K - $90K, any work over 40 hours per week is paid at an over-time rate of 1.5 and will average a minimum of 10 hours a week.
