Field Service Technician - ABB : Job Details

Join ABB and help drive innovation in industrial automation. We're looking for a System Drives Field Service Technician to support customers in Skowhegan, ME, and the surrounding region. This remote-based role involves field service work for AC and DC drive systems across diverse industries.

What You'll Do:

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and service for AC/DC drive systems
• Analyze system performance using advanced testing tools (oscilloscopes, data loggers, PDMA motor testing, etc.)
• Partner with customers to optimize operations and improve efficiency
• Prepare service reports and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Travel up to 80% to support clients in the region

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of related work or military experience (or 4+ years with a HS diploma/GED)
• Strong understanding of AC and DC drive systems
• Experience with ABB 800xA is a plus
• Ability to work independently and support customers 24/7 as needed
