Our client is a leading specialist in machines and systems for sheet metal working with manufacturing facilities in Italy, Finland, USA, and China, from which they deliver machines and systems all over the world. The sales and service network are active in over eighty countries, with a direct presence or through a network of specialized dealers.They are looking for transitioning veterans to join the Field Service Team, where you will be a key part of a technical support team that provides on-site telephone and email support. You will travel to customer locations in North America to perform on-site training, installations, repairs, and maintenance on both hardware and software. You will troubleshoot and problem solve to determine what is malfunctioning and then provide the customer with a solution taking the problem from start to finish.Essential responsibilities:- Diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repairs- Examine machines for both mechanical and electrical issues, dismantle the machines, perform repairs, and rebuild the equipment- Perform technical field service-related duties involving new product installations, including equipment startups, functional testing, and customer training- Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone- Perform software updates on HMI and PLC- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers via telephone- Represent the company professionally by providing exceptional customer service while at customer locations or while in any service support role- Interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problem products- Provide detailed documentation of product problems and resolutionsBase salary, $75 - $85K, full benefits, 15 days PTO (accrued), ten paid holidays, per diem, specialty tools provided, a phone, and a laptop.
