Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Supervisor to join our team. As a Field Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing geotechnical field operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate geotechnical field activities, including soil testing, drilling, sampling, and instrumentations installation.
  • Provide technical guidance to field staff, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact timelines or quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable field testing and data collection.
  • Conduct regular inspections of field operations to verify compliance with established protocols and standards.
  • Review field reports and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations among field staff.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions, and toolbox talks to enhance safety awareness and minimize accidents/incidents
  • Investigate and report any safety-related incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of field equipment to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and repairs as needed, optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Lead, mentor and motivate field staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
  • Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to field personnel, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in geotechnical field operations, with a proven track record of supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical testing methods, equipment, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications and tools used for geotechnical data analysis and reporting
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to geotechnical fieldwork.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
