Currently seeking a Part-Time Field Technician to help support our Reno team. - Attain and document all necessary patient/customer information to deliver on ordered respiratory therapies
- Inform appropriate department via phone, email or fax with necessary information regarding delivery ordered (by the end of the workday).
Delivery and Set Up Provide courteous, accurate and timely delivery, set-up and pick-up. Maintain all necessary and required paperwork at all times.
- Perform patient tank deliveries, new patient set-ups, nocturnal set-ups/pick-ups, concentrator maintenance and patient assessments
- Document all patient visit outcomes in Apacheta. Be sure notes are clear and followed up on.
- Deliver and set-up resp. equipment per manufacture guidelines
- Explain patients rights, checklists, policies and procedures, etc. to patient. Document where necessary patients compliance and their level of understanding
- Document any patient concerns and communicate them to Manager. Note: when patient education and/or re-education occur it is required that it be documented in Apacheta and/or Brightree Patient Notes.
Physical Plant Maintenance Maintain clean and organized office/warehouse areas.
- Handle all tasks assigned by Manager promptly and efficiently.
- Dirty equipment area must be free of all dirty equipment by the end of the day each day.
- Inventory (Non-Serialized and Serialized) must be kept in neat, organized manner, and stored in designated area.
- Serial inventory in need of repair must be addressed within 1 week of being returned from customer.
Professional Standards Maintain professional standards in order to complete essential job responsibilities - State and ME guidelines.
- Maintain current license/certificates without allowing them to expire
- Attain a clear understanding of all O2 equipment and how it operates in order to provide quality service to the patient/customer
- Attend in-services and training seminars to keep current with new products, therapies, policies, etc.
- Demonstrate proper set-up, usage, loading and unloading on all equipment used and dispensed in your specific job area.
- Responsible for observing confidentiality at all times.
Customer Service Handle telephone calls in an informed and professional manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Route telephone calls to the appropriate person
- Answer telephone calls questions asked by patient/customer to the best of your ability or transfer to the appropriate person for an answer. Consider taking patient information and calling back with an answer.
- Consistently demonstrate the Owens Values to our patients and co-workers.
Vehicle Management Maintain clean, stocked, tuned and orderly company vehicle.
- Check vehicle daily for any defect or damage externally as well as internally
- Keep vehicles clean and orderly at all times. Maintain equipment per vehicle inventory list.
- Maintain stock of personal protective gear (i.e. gloves, hand sanitizer, mask, etc.)
- Follow vehicle maintenance schedule and obtain service when needed at designated sites.
- Report any mechanical problems to supervisor and obtain necessary service in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the safe operation of vehicles and adhereing the California Department of Motor Vehicle laws.
Other Responsibilities Handle all other responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform HME repairs as needed and document as necessary
- Maintain rental equipment based on policy and procedure
- Assist in other areas of ME as needed or require
RequirementsExperience
- Related experience is preferred
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Licensure
- Possess a clean DMV report
