Job Description :

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking multiple Field Technicians to join our team at the Cleveland Cliffs facility located in Middletown, OH. These individuals will perform various general labor tasks such as loading and unloading equipment, lining trailers, operating equipment and any other systems and processes for the job in an industrial setting.

Typical Shift Hours: Monday - Sunday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

* Loads and unloads equipment and materials for the job at arrival and departure of the job site.

* Sets up vacuum hose and waterblast hose as directed.

* Enters confined space, entry into tanks, pits, or other confined spaces when needed.

* Inspects, uses, and maintains various personal protection equipment including chemical protective suits, respiratory protection, safety harnesses, and air monitoring equipment.

* Uses various manual tools and equipment to affect industrial cleaning operations (i.e., shovels, scrapers, rakes, squeegies, etc.).

* Cleans, mucks out and de-sludges various industrial systems, including paint pits, eliminators, dip tanks, process tanks, conveyors, etc., manually.

* Adheres to quality and safety requirements while on the job.

* Performs yard, shop, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping duties as directed.

* Performs any indicated site-specific responsibilities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

* High School diploma or GED.

* OSHA 10 certification is mandatory prior to hire (may obtain through company sponsored program).

* This role requires the use of respiratory equipment.

* Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and reach within 6 of the ground.

* Ability to climb ladders and stairs.

* Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

* Ability able to work in confined spaces.

* This role requires working in extreme temperature condition

* Must have manual dexterity sufficient for use of small hand tools, handling of small parts (ex: nuts/bolts), and working with hands at various positions (ex: overhead, front, low).

* Must be able to pass a background check.

* Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.

Education/ Experience:

* Ability to understand basic equipment operating instructions, safe work practices, commercial and industrial processes, and the ability to work smart.

* Experience with Power Industrial Truck permits desired (hi-lo, aerial lift, burden carrier, etc.).
