The Field Training Specialist supports United Pacific's training programs and operations goals by anticipating, providing input, developing and implementing training programs for both store-based retail teams and the corporate Support Center. Reporting to the Director of Training and Development, this role partners closely with the HR Business Partners, retail leadership and legal team to ensure training programs are effective, timely and impactful. This role ensures companywide training needs are met including; training required for compliance, training that supports internal policies, technical store operations and procedures and soft skills training. The Field Training Specialist assists in developing and executing training programs through instructional materials, e-learning platforms, training videos, field and in-house workshops, seminars, and formal classroom instruction. This role supports instructional design, development of training processes, train the trainer programs and in-person delivery. In partnership with the HR Business Partners, the Field Training Specialist also provides store specific operations evaluations and assists in analyzing training feedback, assist with personnel analysis and collaborates with all Company departments to ensure training and material is current and accurate. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Develop training curriculum and materials for both field operations and corporate Support Center training programs
- Continuously provide input to improve curriculum for Store Manager's / Managers in Training to effectively prepare them for operations of the convenience store, food service operations and gasoline-related retail environment
- Execute and monitor train the trainer programs for field retail operations
- Execute in-person training including in-house workshops, seminars, and formal classroom instruction both in the field and in the corporate Support Center
- Evaluate and document associate's proficiency and potential to work within the company's guidelines
- Review and provide assessment regarding management candidate performance both in the classroom and in the hands-on training at the Company's Training Store sites
- Coordinate instruction of each training module to ensure necessary information is conveyed
- Provide hands on in-store instruction at the Company's training stores during and after initial training process
- Oversee the training functions of the Company's Training Store Managers and the on-site curriculum Identify needs, coordinate, schedule, provide design input, and conduct seminars for management and employees in the field; ensure tracking, monitoring and assessment records are effectively maintained
- Provide documentation and feedback to management including employee verification of module completion or compliance certification
- Provide support to management in responding to company training needs
- Provide coordination, support, and assistance with company presentations as required
- Conduct and provide training needs assessment to determine and effectively address customer needs and to continuously improve our services in a timely manner and provide appropriate training and presentations
- Travel up to 85%
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience required
- 5-10 years' experience training in the retail industry, quick service restaurant or fast casual dining is required
- Serv Safe Food Manager Certification and Proctor is strongly desired
- Serv Safe Alcohol Certification and Proctor desired
- Designated Operator Training Certification desired
- Training Certification instructor desired
- TIPS Alcohol Training Certification is preferred but not required
- LEAD Alcohol Training Certification is preferred but not required
- 3-5 years instructional, teaching or presentation experience particularly with adult learners is required
- Strong demonstrated knowledge proven success history in convenience store or related industry at all levels of a company preferred
- Demonstrated effectiveness and successes of interpersonal skills especially patience and empathy
- Imagination / vision to conceive programs from idea to reality
- Demonstrated proficiency in all relevant areas of the retail, food service and petroleum business, e.g., customer service and other disciplines is preferred
- Ability to build trust, foster engagement, and create positive collaborative relationships across multiple levels within a diverse retail organization
- Strong planning, consulting, organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Strong business acumen and critical thinking.
- Ability to support regular travel in a road warrior position
- Proof of valid driver's license and safe driving record is required
- Ability to furnish proof of authorization to work in the U.S upon accepting an offer of employment
