Overview
The Office of the Dean of the Graduate School is seeking two temporary candidates to assist the Associate Deans for Academic Affairs with the seasonal review of academic materials related to graduate admission. One candidate will be assigned to materials related to the humanities and social sciences divisions, and one candidate will be assigned to materials related to the natural sciences and engineering divisions.
Most work is expected to be conducted remotely but candidates must be available for occasional onsite commitments and meetings.
Extensive mandatory (paid) training is required for approximately 40 hours during the month of December 2024. The projected time commitment from early January through early March is 30 hours per week.

Final candidates will be required to complete a background check.
Responsibilities
General responsibilities include reviewing transcripts and other materials in preparation for evaluation by the Associate Deans for Academic Affairs. The work is time sensitive and requires reviewing a high volume of materials in a timely manner.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required
* Experience handling sensitive and confidential materials, data, and information with discretion.
* Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Access to high-speed internet and a private reading space
* Proficiency with personal computer office applications, email, and internet, as well as web-based communications (e.g. Outlook, Zoom, etc.)
* Ability to read quickly, carefully, and objectively
* Strong notetaking, writing, and assessment skills
* Careful attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and adapt to changes
* Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives
* Having a secure, password-protected, high-speed internet connection that meets our Office of Information Technology expectations is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous work experience in higher education or academic administration preferred
* Previous experience with academic materials preferred
* Knowledge of/familiarity with Slate
