Finance Manager - Robert Half : Job Details

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Finance Manager in the manufacturing sector, based in Salinas, California. As a Finance Manager, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities revolving around financial management, variance analysis, and financial modelling. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations and maintaining accurate costings.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed variance analysis on key financial metrics, including production costs, labor, material usage, and overhead, providing insights and actionable recommendations.

• Engage in the creation of data models to support financial analysis and decision making

• Oversee standard cost modeling, ensuring accurate calculations for raw materials, labor, and overhead allocations.

• Ensure product costing is accurate, conducting variance and margin analysis as necessary

• Regularly prepare and present Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and trends

• Conduct performance analysis of labor and material usage variances

• Utilize Sage Intacct for financial management tasks

• Assist in streamlining financial processes within a standard costing environment

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently, while maintaining precise customer credit records

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Variance Analysis.

• Proficiency in Financial Modeling.

• Familiarity with Standard Costing techniques.

• Experience with financial software, preferably Sage Intacct.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
