Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager/Analyst to work directly with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role is pivotal in supporting the CFO in driving financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to the CFO.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Strategic Planning and Advisory:

  • Collaborate with the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Evaluate financial performance against industry benchmarks and suggest improvements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Support the CFO in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze budget variances and advise on corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assist in long-term financial planning and capital allocation.

Financial Operations Management:

  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in managing cash flow and working capital to maintain liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve financial controls.

Project Management and Special Assignments:

  • Lead or participate in special financial projects and initiatives as directed by the CFO.
  • Conduct research and analysis on specific financial issues or opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed presentations and reports for board meetings and investor relations.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, recommending mitigation strategies to the CFO.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, with a strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven experience working with senior executives, preferably in a CFO support role.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in Brooklyn, New York, with potential for occasional travel as needed.
