Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized financial aid counseling to current and prospective students and their families.
Assist students with the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other required documentation.
Analyze and verify financial aid applications in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Determine student eligibility for financial aid programs and prepare award packages.
Conduct financial literacy workshops and presentations to educate students on budgeting, loan management, and scholarship opportunities.
Collaborate with Admissions and Enrollment Management teams to support recruitment and retention initiatives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
Stay informed of changes in financial aid regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Requirements:Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Education, Business Administration) required.
At least 1-2 years of experience in financial aid, higher education, or a related field preferred, but not required
Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and processes.
Proficiency in financial aid management systems (e.g., Ellucian Colleague) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
