POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management and analysis of financial duties, including the completion of monthly general ledger closings for sales, cost of sales, related expenses, and profit. This role also assists in preparing and analyzing cost standards, financial statements, investment analysis, and related balance sheet accounts.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Analyze, summarize, and report financial performance, KPIs, and trends for operating companies and corporate shared services.
  • Understand business processes, people, and technology to identify, configure, and communicate useful information, and provide practical business counsel to support accounting, finance, business units, shared services, and project teams across the organization.
  • Provide business/financial analysis and decision support to help management evaluate alternatives, make fact-based decisions, and assess the impact of decisions.
  • Perform month-end financial close activities, including the preparation and/or review of journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.
  • Handle special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • MBA or CPA is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
