Financial Analyst - Yale University : Job Details

Under the general direction of the Finance Manager, and with latitude for exercising independent judgment, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical and financial functions in support of Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) financial planning, controls and compliance, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Essential Duties: Under the direction of the Finance Manager, reviews non-sponsored transactions ensuring adherence to donor restrictions and University policies. Requests new chart of account (COA) segments for the department, ensuring financial effectiveness and compliance with required internal and external reporting. Prepares journal entries and payroll accounting adjustments with all required backup for entry by Financial Assistants. Prepares and analyzes departmental spending reports for academic department chairs and managers on a monthly basis. Prepare and process accounts receivable invoices for external customer contracts.
