The Firm:

A leading lower-middle market private equity firm focused on investing in founder led, vertically focused B2B technology and tech-enabled services companies with nearly $5 billion of assets under management.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Finance Analyst/Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support our company's strategic initiatives. You will work closely with the finance and accounting teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations that drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support the company's short-term and long-term financial goals.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and analyzing financial and operational performance.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of management presentations, executive summaries, and other ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
  • Participate in financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the preparation of fund-level financial reporting, including investor updates, performance metrics, and fund valuations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are highly desirable.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, private equity, or related roles within the financial industry.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with expertise in Excel. Experience with financial software (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the private equity industry is advantageous
