Financial Controller - BT Finance Executive Search : Job Details

OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a quickly growing document management company with a national focus. The Controller is a key financial leader responsible for managing accounting operations and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. The primary focus is to support precise financial management and reporting, particularly in the context of long-term projects and establishing KPIs. The Controller will also assist with cashflow management and other strategic initiatives.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Utilize current software packages for invoice approvals, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Lead the annual audit process
• Manage vendor relationships, including IT and HR
• Lead invoice, billing, and collections efforts
• Prepare and enter journal entries as needed.
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and submit sales tax schedules and ensure compliance with sales tax reporting.
• Maintain sales commission records and prepare associated reports.
• Oversee preparation of year-end 1099 forms.
• Understand the process for preparing, receiving, and invoicing purchase orders.
• Monitor internal control processes,
• Prepare financial or operational analyses as requested.
• Follow other job-related procedures and perform other tasks as requested.
• Participate in special projects as required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

• 4-year Accounting Degree. CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience preferred.
• Preferred Acumatica experience
• Strong communication skillsboth verbal and written.
• Exceptional multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Independent decision-making skills based on company procedures.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and seek clarification when necessary.
• Commitment to timely and accurate work completion.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks as needed.
