We pride ourselves in employee development at all levels.Job DescriptionSummary DescriptionResponsible for all accounting-related activities, including managerial accounting, high level accounting and finance activities of the company. Ensures the company follows all reporting guidelines and procedures as well as tax compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance:
Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, treasury, and taxation. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Lead month-end and year-end close process. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures. In coordination with Regional Controller, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on bi-weekly, monthly and annual basis.Tax Compliance: Develop the organization's tax compliance program to ensure all internal practices adhere to applicable laws, regulations and policies. Review and submission of reportorial requirements to the BIR and other regulatory agencies. Application of tax treaty reliefs and residency certificates to preferential tax availments. Review of Transfer Pricing Documentation (TPD) in coordination with external accounting firm. Overall management of tax accounting, corporate tax reporting, and coordination with the branch document controller for document archiving. Inspect legal means of reducing tax liability and analyze income tax deductions. Participate in the creation and implementation of the organization's tax strategy and guidelines. Managers and ensures company's use and compliance with tax incentives with PEZA and its regulations. Leads major tax-relevant projects/initiatives. Act as the company's representative for BIR meetings regarding tax audit and other related tax issues.Tax Audits/Cases/Refunds: Management and coordination with external legal consultants for the efficient closure of BIR tax audits and local tax inspections and investigation, including cases pending with the courts. Responsible for overall management of VAT refunds with the BIR. Responsible for official correspondences with the tax authorities and regulatory agencies in matters of tax compliance and registrations/accreditations of the Company.Tax Planning and Support/Risk Management: Conduct research and study on tax minimization and tax efficiency initiatives and management of any tax exposure of the company. Provides tax update, advisories and tax trainings for the employees.Compliance: Review company internal controls, specifically the Financial Process Control Documentation. Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all employees. Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.Systems: Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department. Be involved and suggest system/process improvements.
