Job Description :

Our client, a up-and-coming credit fund, is looking for an FP&A Associate to contribute to the newly established FP&A department within the finance team. Reporting to the Department Head, this hire will collaborate with colleagues across investment and operational teams to enhance the company's financial analysis and planning capabilities, critical for interpreting current performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting:
  • Manage and update the firm's comprehensive financial forecasting model, with the objective of creating a user-friendly, real-time financial dashboard.
  • Maintain a model that enables detailed scenario analysis, factoring in fund performance, operating costs, and expected management and performance fees.
  • Leverage technology to optimize the financial model, streamlining the update process by integrating key performance drivers from the firm's reporting systems.
  • Contribute to long-term financial projections (3-5 years).
  • Analysis of Financial Statements:
  • Analyze key financial metrics (revenue, costs, margins, headcount, etc.) on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Develop new key performance indicators and predictive metrics.
  • Implement best practices from the industry to establish a strong FP&A function.
  • Collaborate with the Management Company to ensure smooth budgeting processes.
  • Simplify and automate the process of budget creation and financial reporting.
  • Build and maintain a cash flow forecasting model that links with the broader financial model for easy updates.
  • Work closely with HR to track hiring plans and adjust projections accordingly throughout the year.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis:
  • Perform various analyses related to the firm's strategic goals, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Around 4-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, ideally gained from roles in investment banking or FP&A.
  • Expertise in technical modeling tools like Excel, VBA, Anaplan, etc.
